    Peace..everyone....:)

Post #181 Feb 16, 2011, post #182, Dec 3, 2014. Damn this scab was left unpicked, it had healed, and the scar was nearly gone. It's apparent we need a new wild vs. hatchery steelhead or wolf thread...

who the hell can cast a full once of weight on any fly rod?

I really like a lot of what Bill has to say, and read a bunch of his stuff, but this is just gross over-exaggerating like what many folks are prone to do in order to make themselves feel better about their own definition of "fly-fishing", which only helps to divide two groups of passionate fishermen (I'm not saying it doesn't go the other way, but by and large, it's a one-sided affair).

    nooooooooo, I've been sucked in....

Hevi beads are the purist way one can fish......... If you want pure annihilation, blitz limits, and pure awesomeness.

Awesomeness and fly fishing are mutually exclusive. The only way fly fishing can be awesome is if you're simultaneously having sex with a Scandinavian princess, while standing up of course, and using her long blond hair for tippet.

Been there done that. Two princesses, a two handed rod, and an Atlantic on the line. A large cock fish donning the tartan to be exact.

What was "it" in your original quote? Because you didn't clearly define the pronoun, I was left to my own interpretations. In my interpretation of "it" Bill's quote did not sum "it" all up. Now if you would kindly define your version of "it" I might agree with you, but not likely. By the way simply stating that the truth hurts does not suddenly equate your opinion (and that's what "it" was) as the truth. Sorry to have to point that out to you, truth hurts doesn't it.

Damn, Ira! When are you and Rob going to get it over with and just have a "man date" and fish together! How many threads over the years have you guy's butted heads on this issue? Don't make me drag them all out. ;)
No seriously, you and Rob should just make plans to fish together. Rob is must concede to using Ira's choice of fishing method, and vice versa.
Of course you'd have to put up a trip result of the episode, with pics.
