I have heard that it is possible to fly fish for salt steelhead off the beaches at lagoon point on Whidbey Island. Has anyone ever tried this? Should I use the same patterns (Chartreuse Clouser Minnow) as I did for Summer Coho?

From what I have heard its better to use yellow, red or orange marabous on saltwater hooks. These are similar to the hootchie and a spin-n-glo that the gear chuckers are successful with.
