    Yeah, Derek, I am pretty engaged in this issue. Last summer I saw a suction dredge rig at the WDFW site east of Cle Elum on the Yak. I've seen a lot of them on the small creeks along Blewitt, and of course on the Wenatchee, but this was a first on the Yakima.

    Finally that mining law got knocked down a bit. It baffles me that it has stood unchanged for so long.

    Ah, those Humboldt Honeys! My daughter graduated from Humboldt in 2012 in wildlife ecology (finally) after years of being lured away by CA DFG with all sorts of really neat internships and temp jobs.
