Looks like we're off to a running start. One pattern, no more than 12 flies of your choice. I like to send one of your own flies back to you so you get a complete set of the swap flies, that's why the 12 flies. Less if we don't fill to 12.

So far we have me, Randy, Flyin Dutchman, and last but not least Mike. Good start with some fine tiers.

Welcome Aboard Islander and Flytying6. My wife just informed me that she wants to play too. That makes 7 so far, five slots still open.

    Jesse,

Hmmmmmm, an early filer? Since you bought a toon with your refund, I guess your still eligible. Yup, VEE said she wouldn't make anymore streamside latte's if I didn't let you in. Glad to have you aboard. What kind of 'toon did you get?

Thanks to Vickie for letting me play.
Ron the Silverbow flyshop had two 2004 Outcast fishcats they were closing out. My son John and I were able to get them at a hefty discount. :thumb: :thumb:
It is a nice craft I have used it on the Grande Ronde and the local lakes so far. It is a big step up from my float tube. I am really enjoying it.

    wbodger,

My apologies, I hadn't had my first triple latte yet when I read the board this morning and missed your post. Of course your in. That is if you haven't filed your tax return yet, or plan on spending a portion of your refund on fly fishing stuff. Either way your welcome, and glad to have you.

Jesse, Those Fishcats are nice boats. As I mentioned, I just ordered a nine footer. Should be here Wednesday of next week.

Only three slots left, folks. Let's get in here and fill this one up.

    mike,

Yup, midges are fine. The choice of fly is up to the tier. I usually encourage folks to tie flies they fish. Getting a really pretty fly is nice, but one that some else uses and has confiddence in is even better in my book. I also don't think a swap should break anyone's budget so if you have materials around that meet your need, use them instead of buying something especially for the swap (unless you need to tell the wife that you need something for this swap your in, then go ahead).

Mike, Yup, I fish midges a lot. Though getting the really small one on a tippet is proving to be something of a problem at this stage of life.
