    Hey fellas. Thanks in advance.

I am working on a few spey style flies with stripped wings. I was hoping to get some advice on tying in the wings in horizontal position as well as verticle. I seem to be getting stuck (and subsequently wasting alot of material) on the wing portion of the fly.

    Any help is appreciated.

Dude, go to speypages fly tying section and look at the tutorials that Marty howard has done, there is not better free resource i know of tying traditional steelhead flies. Amazing quality, close up, step-by-step pictures with descriptions. I found that the turkey feather that Marty recommends worked best for me.
