I've got 4 woven flies done and 2 salt.
Please PM address.
I'll send one each of all groups from previous swaps I've been in giving proper recognition for the tiers plus a couple of more that I tied with humble hands.<img src="http://www.pic4ever.com/images/www_MyEmoticons_com__fishing.gif" border="0" >
Okay...seems we're trending more to the trout flies, so let's make one last adjustment to the targets and look at these numbers:
1 offering of 24 trout flies. Final.
1 offering of 12 salt flies - could go to 18 or 24, depending.
1 offering of 6 spey flies - could go to 12, depending.
Based on the responses, I'm figuring the following in the trout column:
2 Renegades from Sourdoughs, 4 various from Mumbles, 4 woven flies from Big_E, 2 TBD from Rob Ast, 4 North County Spiders from Ron Eagle Elk, 2 Stimulators from Warren Perry, 4 TBD from Ned Wright. Need 2 more.
For the Salt collection:
2 Clousers from Warren Perry; 2 TBD from Big_E, 1 from Rob Ast. If I can get 2 from Sourdough, that leaves only 5 salt flies needed for a package of 12. If some of the other respondents really want to go for more salt flies, maybe we can bump that offering to 18 or 24 also. You guys have already been way generous.
Ben, if you're willing to send in four Speys, maybe Daconcil can come up with two more and that package would be set at six. If you're really into Speys and can tie up a variety, I can see where we could bump that package to 12.

Hopefully, I'll have some information from Carol's board meeting tomorrow night regarding the possibility of allowing outside bidders.
I'm still interested in some or all of you sending in something written with one or more of your flies - how you use it, how you developed it if original, the recipe, etc. I'de love to be able to compile something like that to make the packages a bit more personal and identify a real person with their act of generosity.
Daryle - take a look at the tallies above and feel free to add 2 more to fill in the trout package or 3 or 4 salt flies, or even something in the Spey style, if you're into those. Thanks.
I'll tie a Beadhead Prince, Extended Leech, Ultra Shrimp, a few Euphasiid's and an Epoxy Sandlance.
My two salt flies are a chum baby and surf candy
In the mail in the AM. Bailie's Black Spider, Pheasant Tail and Furnace Spider, Pritt's Water Cricket, Blue Eared and Dun Spider, Peacock and Starling Spider, Partridge and Orange (Tied old style), Snipe and Purple, and Iron Blue Dun.
Thanks for letting us help out a worthy cause.
Mike, mine should hit the mail in the morning too.
It's been a long day, guys, but I've got feedback from last night on outside bidding at the October 16th event. First of all, the Board is jazzed about the support you guys have offered. Second, they'd be happy to set up a proxy bidding system for as many board members as can be present (that's fifteen) so that as many as fifteen outside individuals could be represented. I understand that this would be sort of along the lines of Ebay. Bidders not present would submit minimum and maximum bids...the proxy reps would track the auctions, each representing an outside bidder, entering bids as the auction progressed. Make sense?
I'm still making this up as I go, but if we want to encourage bidders, we have a likely population right here on WFF. If you all are okay with that, we can wait until we get these offerings set up, then publicize it on the Events board and see where it goes. If we find we have serious interest, we'll have to establish a method for getting commitments from bidders, including a min-max bid. If we get more than fifteen - and depending on an okay from the board - we may be able to round up extra proxies.
Ben Waldschmidt has PM'd me with an offer of discounted fly boxes for these collections, and I'll be contacting him following this note.
Some of you have already been far more generous than was required. Based on the posts from the last day or so, we are going to have an ample supply of drop-dead beautiful flies, and likely enough to probably make the salt group a package of two dozen, like the trout. Anyway, I'll sort 'em out as they arrive and keep you posted. If I have extras - it looks like I might - please advise if you'd like any back. Or, maybe I'll just make up some "grab bags" and send a few different flies back to random contributors.
Thanks again for the response. The Board of KCDVTF totally appreciates your enthusiasm and support.
First flies arrived today from some "Sorry Excuse For A Member." Wow - great flies, and a great many, too, sir!
Let's figure a way to get your box back to you sometime in the near future - maybe we can plan a way to meet up somewhere next week. It would do me good to talk to someone who has actually done some fishing in the recent past.
Ron's flies were received yesterday. Definitely keepers all the way - beautiful and unique trout flies. Thanks, Ron, for the quality and quantity. I've saved your address from the mailer (have yours, too, Mumbles) and will make sure you all receive a note of appreciation, even as I know your generosity had nothing to do with being recognized.
I haven't gotten to the flies yet thanks to a plumbing problem.... When do you want them in?
I am planning on some classic dry flies. Nothing exotic, but very fishable.
Mike, it was my pleasure to make a donation. You must have "someone who has as actually done some fishing" mistaken with me, but let's hand that box over on some water somewhere. Most of those flies were flies tied in swaps. There were a couple that were actually bonus flies given to my by others...and not to disrespect them, if you ever post photos I'll give full on credit to those tyers. I thought they just flowed well together from a foam perspective. I do hope the auction yeilds benefits for those in need. Is there anything else you need, holes in the collections or such? I look forward to chatting with you soon if we can get our schedules aligned.
Good question, and one I should have addressed earlier. The event is the 16th of October, so I'd like to have them in hand by the 9th if at all possible. Definitely looking forward to your flies, should be perfect for what we're doing.
Sounds good. I seem to be getting more dull by the day...sort of makes me think about that old expression about "all work and no play..." Can't remember the rest of it. By the way - you've been plenty generous. So far, the trout flies are outrunning the salt flies by quite a lot, but stay tuned. If I did my calculating correctly and everyone comes through, I should be in good shape. I'll keep your offer in mind, though.
Update: I received Warren Perry's flies today, all the way from Basra. Two stimulators and two Clousers. Thanks, Warren...and good to know you'll soon be wrapping up and coming home.

Mr. Curiously Insubordinate, please check out this swap link and photos...
I have a full set of these flies. A member signed up for the face to face but never showed up and never checked back in. I've had them in a baggie for him since the face to face meeting. If you think you have a niche for them, they are yours my friend. Whenever we meet I can hand them over or I can drop them in the mail. I belive that each fly submitted in this swap was tagged or at least identified by me when I took the photos.
Note for those who give two rips, my friend Matt Smith, who has not been seen around here in a while, contributed a few flies that he touted as "money flies". Throw the BS flag if you will, but I have fished his files and others I've tied replicating his flies and they flat out catch lots and large fish!
Let me know Mike. I'll fish these, or hand them over to you to do some good for others.
Mine go out tomorrow.
Very nice selection pictured. Tell you what - I'll keep those as a "back pocket option" if we fall short anywhere. I've just received Kerfwappie's flies, and it really beefs up the salt selection.
Kerfwappie - Got your package today, and these are just some outstanding flies!
To update our list - received so far:

Guys, I gotta tell you, what you've sent in so far is vastly superior in variety and quality to anything I could have thrown together. The most difficult challenge, considering the level of generosity, will be making the final selections. I may have to find a way to include them all, and no matter how it works out, some lucky bidders are going to get some sweet flies. I'm grateful and humbled. :thumb:
I can't wait to bid on these puppies!
You got it Mike, I'll be standing by. So Kerfwappie tossed in some of his super high quality baitfish...that guy ties some ridiculously great stuff.
Thanks Ed. I hope you sent in one of your killer tube worms. Those are the product of thoughtful creativity. BTW you got any pics of Matt's money flies?
Yes....we must have pikures of the flies sent in.
when do you need these?
