Took my future stepfather out to the Snoqualmie to fish for SeaRun Cutts, he doesn't flyfish so I set him up with an ultrlight spinner with 2lb test.

Now, I have been fishing this river for years without ever hooking a Steelhead, but he hooked one about 5-7 lbs.

The fish got close to the boat and went under the boat - I was saying "Don't let him under the boat" meaning swing your rod around the bow so your line isn't under the boat.

Well, he didn't listen and the line rubbed the boat and snapped.

You only get one shot to do it right, I hope it's not another several years before I get my shot at it!

Exciting YES - Frustrating INDEED !!!!!!!!!!!!

    Let 'em go!
