A new movie Ed is coming out with.
That looks good.
Looks like a winner. Those guys have hooked a fish or 10,000 between them over the years.
Not that I want to wish away the summer, but now I'm really looking forward to august! Pinks and Skagitmaster
VERY COOL clip!
Don't know how to say it without sounding like an advertiser, but it's finally ready.
$50 shipped is too much for a DVD, too bad, cause I want it
I just droped 50.00 bucks on it.
Make sure you drive it over to my place after you get it.
$50?? That's rich, not to mention a lot of money to pay to watch someone else fish. Hmmm, I'll wait for it to come out on Netflix.
I seen them running up and down the Skagit while filming it. Had me a bit confused for awhile. Thought it was some sort of high speed boat chase, except Ed's boat isn't very fast. Don't need to buy it.
Ed is a great fisherman but it seems unfortunate to be advertising the skagit and "master" of the skagit given how depressed the steelhead runs are on that system. It would be sadly ironic if it never opened again for a spring fishery. Is there a point when that sort of angling culture is out of place given the fragile nature of our anadromous fisheries in P.S.? Hopefully they've included some conservation stuff in the video.
Isn't it more about the skagit cast than the river?
Western Rivers Conservancy sponsored the DVD. There are short bumpers in the show presenting the specific work WRC has completed on our favorite rivers to help salmon and steelhead. One dollar from every sale goes to WRC efforts to help buy habitat. And yes, the film presents Skagit casting on many rivers, not just the Skagit.
I'd pay $50 if like $20 went to charity, $50 for a DVD is just too much.
I'm a sucker for this kind of stuff, i ordered one.
i'll give a review when it arrives. I ordered mine a few weeks ago and still have not recieved it. I guess the 10.00 for shipping is not express shipping!
cant wait to see it.
Got mine today.... I'll watch it soon and try to give an update.
Great DVD. Nicely done Ed and company. The sponsor videos were a nice add as an option to watch, but I could have done without the commercials in the middle of the DVD. The instructional parts were done well enough that I could keep up and it gave me a few things to think about next time I'm on the river. Ed is a freak the way he makes it look so easy. The special color rods were smart and really helped with the demonstrations. The fly tying and little chit chat was a nice break from the Skagit lessons. At times it made me feel as if I was sitting across from Ed at the table after a day on the river. Overall I would buy it again and feel the value was good.
