Does anyone know if you can train with trapped pigions year round? I am a little confused by the regs. Of course I'm a little confused by most things. Thanks!

Yes you can. Pigeons regardless of origin whether trapped or wild are specified as "unclassified" animals in the regs, meaning no limit/season. Go for it and have fun. Now if you get some chukars or other GAME birds you nedd to have them banded by the distributor (all bird dealers have state bands) and then they're ok, but without that band marking it as a farm bird, you're liable for a ticket.

Since you're in Ellensburg, I would be willing to bet that Tiger Mountain Pointing Labs would be willing to sell you as many pigeons as you could ever need for cheap.

Put a trap on top of any building that you can get permission from.
Without checking the regs, I think you need a current hunting lic. to shoot any critters.
