I fished a local beach today. It was my second attempt at fly fishing for pinks from the beach. Most of the morning the fish were out of my casting range. As the tide came in I ate my sandwich and enjoyed watching the boats, the birds and the Sound. I decided to give it one more cast before heading home and WALA, landed my first pink from the beach. What a kick. Turned him back into the water and we both went home happy.

Congrats! Sometimes that one, last cast can be the best! That's how caught my first flyrod salmon about a month ago.
