trying the salt

    hey everyone, since the peninsula is blown out - I was thinkin of trying the salt. Where is a good place for someone who has never fished the salt and does not have a boat to try out? Any recommendations? I just cant sit at home - it just cant happen. THanks J

    Your profile says Fort Lewis. I'd get a map of the OP and search the hell out of 101 as it goes up around Hood canal. Any access near a creek or river. In Steve Raymonds book, " Estuary Fly Fishing", he talks a lot about fishing the south sound. There is even a south sound fly club you could hook up with. Your lucky to live in that neck of the woods. You don't have to deal with the Fife-Tacoma Interstop-5 mess.
