Urgent Rod repair

    Does anyone have suggestions for simple rod repair? Broke the tip top off my rod today and need it ready by next week. Suggestions for quick fixes, people to fix, etc would be appreciated.

    Pat,

    If it is just a couple of inches you could glue another tiptop on where it is broken, which I do all the time. If it is Sage or Redington you could drive to the sage plant on Bainbridge Island. If it is a G Loomis you could use expediter services and they will ship a new rod to you before you send yours in.

    If it is truly just broken right at the tip-top just measure the diameter and call the guys at Utmost Enterprises (www.utmostenterprises.com). They will get you the right size, ship it for cost, and it will be to your door in 2 days (they are in Sequim so even regular mail will be to you in that time). Then a little 5 minute epoxy or hot glue gun and you are in business.
