Vosseler S2

    Considering one of these reels for a 13'4" 7-8wt. Would love to hear back from anyone that has used one. Thanks

    I found mine to be a little small for that size line.

    You can use a S2 but you are probably going to need only be able to put 150-200 yards of backing. K2 does it but I am not sure how much backing he has on it. I doubt you are going to need all that backing anyway. I have been using a S3 and have found it a little big for my 7 weight speys.

    its got plenty of room and should balance fine. ive got 200yds of 20lb backing on mine, plus a runner and shooting head. that reel is pretty wide, so its got a deceiving amount of space available, especially if youre using a monofilament running line. it also has plenty of room if you want to throw a longer belly like a powerspey on there as well.
