Doing a little research for some summer backpacking/high lakes fishing. A few of the "unknown" lakes have caught my eye. Anyone know how to interpret their location codes? I've done some searching to no avail http://wdfw.wa.gov/fishing/plants/region3/high_lakes_fry_archives.html
They look like section/township/range to me. That should narrow it down to a square mile for you to look in for it.
Yup. Township, range, and section. You can google it for details. That's what the T's on the sides of your maps and the R's on the top and bottom are. 6x6 mile grids.
Thanks for the help all With a little research, the easiest way I have found to find these on google maps is to first input the township, range, and section here: http://www.earthpoint.us/TownshipsSearchByDescription.aspx Then input the latitude and longitude into google maps. Happy high lakes exploring!
