Eastside MA 9: Beautiful morning for fishing; and for catching too, if you're an Osprey.;) I am seeing fish jumping, albeit way too far out. The armada has now moved north off Mukilteo.

Conditions were ideal with large schools of baitfish dimpling the water. For about an hour, I was able to swing a fly right into them, yet not so much as a grab. The Osprey did make a nice grab however, I could have sworn it was a flounder, but perhaps it was a perch in side view. Some mesmerizing jellyfish pulsated by, and I stayed in the moment enjoying the clear, salad free water on the incoming tide.

The tug is the drug, and I usually can't get past that, but this morning it was all good.:)

You hit the beach while the rest of us were at work. That right there makes for a successful day. Too bad you didn't get any tugs. Next time!

I was at a south seattle beach last week and saw a pair of opsreys out fish me 3 to 1, they were pickup up SRC\Rezzies. It is amazing to watch those things smash into the water at high speeds and go completely under for a fish.

Had a nice solid tug about 8pm on an eastside MA9 beach. Unfortunately the tug was so good it broke my fly off.
