Hmmmmmm. I'm going to have to check my schedule on this one. I'm thinking this is a free weekend for me (I'm a 4-H Dad now, so I'm trailering horses as much as I'm fishing anymore LOL). I think I'll be able to go though. Will bring camper and driftboat (I believe people said it's a crappy road in, but lake is doable with a DB, correct???).

If I can make it, will be setup to cook as well. Have my 6wt setup (forgot I had it lol), so will have that in tow, plus another older 7wt (both glass, so a bit limber so a bit more fun on trout).

So hopefully I can make this one. Sounds like it'll be a good time. Trout fishing in April and springer fishing in May, hmmmmmm, should be a good couple months. :)

    Jerry:

The lake is doable in a drift boat. The road has some rocky spots and holes but is driveable for cars, you just have to take it easy.

Understand about the 4-H stuff. We did the premier soccer thing for a number of years.

It has become an annual trip. No fee, except for the campground. Come for a day or the weekend.

No, just show up. If it wasn't so far I would try to make a stab at it. If not for the fishing, for the drinking maybe. Or just meeting up with old friends.

It is sure hard trying to get to 9000 posts. I have to resort to shady tactics to make it.

OK, so me and my bud Martin are pumped for this outing. We plan on getting there on Friday about 11 if we can get it on the road in the am. I've been reading the posts from last year trying to find out what we should tie up for this trip. We have never fished this lake before, so if anyone cares to drop a couple of suggestions as to size and color of chironomids or other early season must have patterns for Dry Falls please be kind and share them with us.
    Thanks:beer2:

Scratch that!!! I have been informed I will be in California visiting the persons bringing my wife and I our 1st grandchild that week. Baby is due in June but it seems I am being summoned for this trip== I am sure you will have enough bodies falling over things for everyone else's entertainment anyway. Have fun ....

Empty seat in the cruser, heading over Friday morning also. I will be dragging a drift boat so tying on a pontoon is no problem.

I don't know about you guys but I am pumped for this weekend. Where is everyone planning on camping? I know last year we kind of stayed in those back cul de sac like things. I plan on being in the second one. I will be in the blue FJ, if you see me come on by and have a cold beverage.

I be heading over on Thursday. Silver Tundra with FFing stickers on the back window. Some of the trailer guys were in the back area, while the tenters tended to be in the cul-de-sac.
