NFR Wff Logo Eye

  1. I love all the recent site changes and I'm not like a charter member or anything, so this isn't a criticism at all. But is it just me or does the WFF Logo Fish seem to have a look of sad despair now? I never paid any attention to this image before so I'm not sure but it seems like the eye changed and now gives it a sad look. Did he become aware of his endangered status? Has he lost hope? Was he just hooked and released? Fly Fishing makes me happy, and so does this site, so this image feels incongruous to me.
  2. I'm pretty sure it doesn't make the fish happy. He does look frightened, but that's how I like my fish. Just like my women. You ever hear that song "A lap dance is so much better when the stripper is crying"?

  3. Well, given his limited dimensions on the header space, he wasn't able to display the new logo in its entirety.

  4. that's a song? something tells me it's actually a rap. and no, thank god, i've never heard it.
  5. beautiful evan. and it also explains why he is sad.
  6. Holy shit. Can a brother PLEASE get a t-shirt made?
  7. I'd need to spend more than 1.5mins photoshopping things to make them t-shirt worthy.
  8. Yes, a friend of mine who recently passed away was an artist who was into studying NW native art. He was a surfer and a fly fisherman, and a good fly tier, too. He produced some pretty cool looking art in his last years. I have a print of a Dragon Fly he did that is awesome. I need to take a pic of it, since it too large for my copier/scanner. He also did a Raven, a Whale, and one of a Porpoise surfing.

I once showed him this logo, and he just shook his head and muttered something unintelligible. Its not bad, but its not very authentic looking.

And yes, I personally think this fish looks too sad. But maybe like the original poster said, it was probably soremouthed recently.

  9. Nope, not rap, although Bloodhound Gang has pushed their lyrical genius into rap before. But you just can't do:

"Well, faster than you can say, "shallow grave",
this pretty little thing come up to me and starts kneadin' my balls
like hard-boiled eggs in a tube sock.
Said her name was Bambi and I said, "Well that's a coincidence darlin',
cause I was just thinkin' about skinnin' you like a deer."
Well she smiled, had about as much teeth as a Jack-O-Lantern,
and I went on to tell her how I would wear her face like a mask
as I do my little kooky dance.
And then she told me to shush.
I guess she could sense my desperation.
Course, it's hard to hide a hard-on when you're dressed like Minnie Pearl."

into a rap, cause it don't rhyme all that good.

  10. a work of genius, truly.
  11. Maybe somebody should put a smile on it's face..... Not me, because I ain't smart enough
  12. Wow...I'm actually offended. You like your women frightened? iIm going to assume this is intended as a joke, right?
  13. Relax... A little sense of humor will go a long way around these parts.
  14. No, Flyborg is obviously misogynous and has very poor taste in music. Those lyrics are garbage. That kind of twisted crap just makes me want to puke. Seriously. Or maybe I'm just being facetious. I can't even rhyme. Somebody loan me a new paradigm.
  15. Clearly. I served my wife liver with fava beans and a nice Chianti last night and she was anything but afraid.
  16. MC Jay-Dub on the mic! Give it up, everybody!
  17. Liver and fava beans? I'm least you chose a nice wine ;)
  18. There's something about Flyborg that makes me nervous...the latest avitar hasn't helped any :D
