I am planning a trip to the Penninsula on the weekend of the 9th (Aug). I have never been out there but I have heard conflicting reports. Right now my top choices are the Sol-Duc and the Calawah. Anybody fished them lately? Any secret honey holes that you are willing to share?? If you don't want to simply give away info, I would be willing to trade directions to some pretty sweet holes on the Dechutes. I am a beginner who has "caught the bug" so any suggestions on fishing styles/techniques will be appreciated.

If you want the chance for big summer run natives you will have to forget about the Quileute System. your two choices are the Queets being my first choice then the Hoh being the second. There arnt many fish but you have a distant shot at a big wild fish. And there are sone hatchery fish in each as well.
