what to use for lettering a blank?

    Just curious if anyone has ever used the Sharpie silver metallic marker for lettering their rod blanks.

    I recently tried those, the don't work on most blanks, the ink goes transparent/translucent. It's a very low-solids ink so the writing just isn't as defined as you might want.

    The only ones that work well for me on any blank color, are the paint pen types with a spring tip and shaker ball inside. I think the brand i have now is Pilot but i could be wrong.

    Stick to paint. Model paint, paint pens, anything of that nature.
