I wanna build a boat that I can use for lakes. I don't want the overall price to be expensive and I don't know where to find plans. I was wondering if u guys can point me in the right direction. I am looking for an easy(er) to build plan and one that can carry about 2 people or 400 lbs. Also looking for something light weight so that I and another person could carry with us.

    Thanks in advance,
    Arthur

bateau2.com has what you're looking for, but so does glen-l.com and paulbutlerprojects.com (at least I think that is it) or go to Jeff Spira's site or duckworks.org for some free plans and a compendium of plan sources.

Here is the boat I use. A Devlin Peeper. http://www.devlinboat.com/index.htm I have a lot of miles on this boat. I will make an attempt to upload some pic of a boat that I built for a friend a couple of years ago.

You might want to check http://www.butlerboats.com, which includes a variety of small, light boats designed for northwest water. Also, http://www.duckworksmagazine.com has features a plans section with a number of designers.

I am partial to prams, which give a lot of capacity for their size, and you would probably want at least a pram of 9-10' for two people.
