Check out Kayak point, and Picknick Point for beaches, a little further south is Carkeek park, or if you want to head to West Seattle you could hit lincoln park. Make sure you understand the regulations before diving in.

As for trout just about any creek or river will have some dinky little guys in it, just be careful you're not catching steelhead smolt. The general opener for all rivers/streams is 6/1 - that being the case there are a lot of special rules and regulations for some streams, so again, make sure you read up on the river/stream you want to target before you go fish it.

    Good luck and enjoy!

KP and PP are close to Everett...and could offer some decent fishing opportunities. Some rivers will open by then..check WA regs as ibn said....plenty of opportunity...and do forum search on rivers near Everett, Skykomish, Snohomish, Stillaguamish...get you headed in right direction.
PS...that little 2 or 3 weight for PA stream trout won't suffice here!! :)

Ahh, another pa guy. Welcome. Definatly download the regulations. The reg book reads quite a bit different than the PA ones.
