Well thats too bad: I've not had any issues with my panasonic gear. So I can't comment on their service: but again: I feel their optics are excellent. Sorry your experience was negative.
Nikon D7000 here, but deathly afraid of taking it on a river. For that I use an old canon compact with waterproof case. I always feel like the Nikon lenses have more 3d pop...
