Has anyone recently fished Whidbey for Steelhead?

I'd like to chuck a fly from Ft. Casey or Lagoon and wanted to hear if anyone has enjoyed any luck.

    Happy Holidays!

I haven't tried it yet, but I plan on being out there this coming Sunday. If anyone out there can suggest patterns and which tide fishes better- it would be very helpful!

    Good Luck-

I was able to sneak out of the in-laws on Christmas day to wet a line. My father-in-law joined me and is an avid salmon fisherman and lives on Whidbey.

Although the weather was incredible the fishing was unproductive. I was using pink shrimp patterns.

We were only able to fish for a couple hours during the high tide transition so our effort was definately limited.

    Happy New Year!
