I seems my regular fly shop carries very little/none Whiting hackle, i.e. Hebert Miner hen capes, rooster saddles, etc. I've purchased a few of these items online but was wondering if any shops in the area have an excellent selection of above mentioned products. Any ideas?

I remember thinking, when I was in Waters West a couple of weeks ago, "Gee, they've got a lot of Whiting stuff on the walls." They had dry necks and saddles, hen necks and saddles, Coq de Leon - a bunch of Whiting. They're not really close to you, but if you know what you want, you could call 'em.

+2 for Waters West. They also have a good online store as well.

Its a nice drive over there and the store is top shelf. Talk to Dave and give the Lab a pet.

+3 for a great selection of feathers at Waters West. Well worth the trip. Be prepared to leave with more than you thought you needed.
In addition to the selection on the walls they can custom dye to any spec or sample you can provide including overdying for graduated colors and other effects.

Waters West is a Top Of The Line shop with a great selection of materials. I've also found Big R in Omak to have an outstanding selection of Whiting hackles.

A little closer to home, you can find a selection of Whiting feathers at the Avid Angler in Lake Forest Park.

PS, but I'll +4 for Waters West when it comes to tying materials.

Just called Jim's fly co. in west Yellowstone, MT to place an order for a bunch of Whiting Hebert Miner hackle.
Guess who answered the phone? Ron Eagle Elk!
    Small world!!!
Nice to have someone you know selecting your hackle when you can't see it for yourself.
