It only took a few minutes to use the comment form provided in the links above in Rich's post. And if you can not show up at the meetings for some reason they do still read all of the comments and letters and emails that are sent in. This is YOUR PUBLIC PROCESS!! USE IT!!

great, if you were looking to stop the shortening of the area 4b lingcod season.

Twenty five folks testified of the twenty five 4-6 folks spoke in favor of steelhead conservation and supported the Commission to reconsider some of the conservatrion proposals that were not put out for public comment. Approximately 4 folks opposed. As Chris pointed out most of the testimony was centered around NB lingcod and rockfish. I belive a compelling conservation message was delivered. Need a few more folks to attend in the future.

What does it look like they are going to do with the ling cod season at Neah Bay?

the proposals are imo dead in the water. bad science (ie seriously manipulated data) was presented and put forward by commissioner jennings (area 4b dive park guy). the testimony was not only against the proposals, but based on sound science and information anyone who actually fishes for lingcod knows about.

Good to hear Chris! Thanks for the info, it would be a shame if they restricted that fishery more as there is a healthy population of ling cod in 4b.
