Winding Checks

    Anyone knows a good source for good winding checks? So far I found that there are not many choices out there. For example, I can not find gold colored ones, or true black, etc.

    I've always bought my rod building supplies at Hook and Hackle. Not sure that they'll have what you're looking for, but it's worth a try. They're online at www.hookhack.com.

    Janns netcraft, has some metal anodized ones. Like Clear, Gold, Black Titanium. Etc

    I would suggest calling Ron at All About The Fly in Monroe, a sponsor listed here, or Greg at Greg's Custom Rods in Lake Stevens. Greg has a website with phone number. Both these shops have rod building supplies and I know Greg has mail order.

    Thanks, guys. I am trying to find some of those that Sage uses on their high end rods as well.
