I've had those hooks for awhile...may have gotten them at Wholesale Sports in Burlington, or maybe Dave's Sports in Lynden.

Oh and the flies were great as well, can't wait to fish that spider and I love the black and red variation on that mid.

I've tied 14 of the green sparkle leech pattern and have about 6 of the brown pattern complete. I'm slow and fishing has interfered with tying.

The brown fly I call a bead-head micro leech, but not sure if that's an appropriate name. More important is that I have been catching fish with this fly during winter and in lakes. (truth be told, I've only fishe it in Lone)
I looked at my notes from the guy who showed it to me and now I'm not sure how I came up with this pattern. His pattern was a bugger with hackle. This is so damn simple but hard to tie a dozen that all look the same.

They don't have to look the same. Send them to me, and I'll distribute the pretty ones in order to the people I like the most. Although as we all know it's likely going to be the ugly ones that end up catching the fish. :)

TDs are in, his bead head nymph looks like a perfect all around streamer that will match a lot of bugs and the phesant tail is going to make a great little calibaetis pattern.

I managed to pick up the hooks I needed today at Ted's in Lynwood when other "Fly" stores did not have them. I haven't been in there in years and I completely forgot how stocked they are on fly gear and their fly selection blew me away. I'll be back for sure.

    Ira,
I looked for your hooks last time I was at Ted's, no luck. Are they in the fly section?

Ted's is great for many items and the markup is reasonable.

If you are looking at the hooks on the south wall, turn around and look at the hooks hanging on the end of the aisle right behind you. I didn't think they had them at first either. I just bought the last of the size 14s.

Looks like this is shaping up to have a nice variety of lake patterns.

Can't wait to see everything. It will be neat to see all the patterns together.

Found em. I got them at Dave's Sports in Lynden. That probably doesn't help you.

    They were Daiichi #1273.
