Any thoughts on tube style intruder flies versus other approaches to tying them?

I have used the Intruder with success.

Big fan of Intruders for winter steelhead, great big profile fly and tons of action in the water.....however, I can't say I am a big fan of tying them and I have not tied/fished any tube versions. Favorite colors are white/grizzly and blue/purple.
Some other great patterns and instructions on the salmonfly.net site....

Anyone have any favorite subs for junglecock?

My bad! (that's what i get for multi-tasking while reading the forum!) Ed Ward...not Ed White! Thanks Luke 77 for the correction!

I've had the pleasure of fishing with Steve Burke (editor of Salmonfly.net) a number of times last year...Great fisherman and all around great guy! Very knowledgeable and a good resource.
