I've fished my flies now (see first post) in some of the popular basin lakes and can say they do the job. I had one evening out at Lenice when I missed 5 consecutive takes . . .could be a long tail issue. . . or the "full fish" phenomena that FF describes. The same fly went 3 in the net for 3 takes over the course of 20 minutes on my next outing at Coffee Pot. The buggers have been great early/late and in off-color water. The smaller stuff fishes well over and around weeds with a little chop on the surface. When the sun is high and the surface is flat I've had to either go deep or switch to bobber watching.
