I've been using Howard "Restore-A-Finish" product in recent years to make my reel seats look like near brand new. I've used the product on furniture over the years and have always been impressed with the results. So, a few years back after looking at one of my older rods reel seat looking a bit weathered, I decided to try it...pure awesomeness! Just thought I'd share the tip. Suggest using the "natural" color unless you have discoloration from the original and need to regain color... in that case they offer many matching stains.

I never used or seen it but will keep my eye open and give it a shot. Have had great results with Tru-oil but always willing to step out and try something new.

This is a good tip, thanks.
I use the Howard product on furniture but never considered using it on older reel seats.
