    Headed there 2nd week of April. Canoeing from Mineral Springs to Spanish Bottom... Any fish to chase there?

    World Class 7000 trout per river mile below Flaming Gorge Dam tailwater. Get a guide, float the river, its 100% worth it.

    You are way below the trout zone. The dam down to the Colorado border has the highest populations. Three sections (A-B-C) with less fish as you go down stream. I'm sure there are fish past Jones Hole in Dinosaur NP, but that is lowest on the river I have caught trouties.
    Yeah, maybe catfish or suckers.

    If you get a chance, a side trip to Flaming Gorge is well worth the effort. You can float it, but there is good trail acces for almost ten miles below the dam.
