Yak Today

    I stopped at the E. Cle Launch at 2:-00 pm on my way to Cle Elum. Water was fairly clear, running a little high and hot (one of the lakes must be filling too fast) and temp had dropped to 48 degrees. Teanaway running nice and clear and will until the weather warms big time tomorrow. So the upper river is still fairly clear.. yak_5_1.JPG

    A nice hatch was starting at around 2. Here is one of the usual suspects this time of year mixed with a few other assorted bugs...

    I drove through the Yakima Canyon this afternoon after coming home from shed hunting at Oak Creek and saw a couple of drift boats in the water. I stopped by Red's and The Worley Bugger each for the first time. There were a number of sheep out and feeding.

    We got snow this week especially at high altitudes... so a little more than normal here but more at the pass.

    Still a lot of snow up at the pass. If we get the temps they are talking about by this coming weekend the rivers are gonna be a raging.
