This cabin, http://www.vrbo.com/466600 , has direct access to both the John Wayne Trail and the Yakima River. We have 3 acres and a beautiful house that can be used as a base of operations for your Yakima River fishing trip. From our backyard you can cross the John Wayne Trail for lots of wading access to the river. It is uniquely situated with access to the main part of the river as well as smaller tributaries in a rare braided part of the Yakima. From our backyard there are 7 miles of trail access to the river. If you are floating the river we have a long driveway with plenty of room for trucks and trailers. Enjoy all that the Cle Elum/Roslyn area has to offer. After a long day on the river relax in the hot tub and enjoy the beautiful views from our spacious deck. Grill and chill and get ready for your next trip. Please check out our listing on VRBO or contact us at 808 783 6687. Thanks for looking.

Ed during the summer it goes for between $135 to $175 a night. From Sept 1 it goes for $125 to $150. If you click on the link above it will take you to our VRBO site with pictures and information. Thanks for asking.

Yes there are. It is mostly farmland and the forest adjacent to the river. I have no idea what the rules are for hunting around there.

Very nice looking area and cabin. "Cabin" seems understated for this, Cottage maybe.

I wanted to send this back up. September and October are right around the corner. It's a good time to start thinking about a Fall fishing trip on the Yakima!

Bump. The fishing is great right now. Access to the river right behind our cabin and tons of wading. Check it out if you are looking for a few days of fishing, relaxing and just plain getting away from it all.

Our house is located about 5 miles east of Cle Elum on Lower Peoh Point Rd.

Thanks - I'll tell my friends from Illinois - they come here about three times a year.

Thanks TeeDub. I appreciate the recommendation. I was fishing out in front of the cabin today and did pretty well. That part of the river is a lot of fun to explore.

We went back and forth on whether to allow pets. I think most peoples would be well behaved. But all it takes is one dog to pee all over the place, fleas etc. and you have problems. The entire house is carpetted.
People with pets are often like people with children; they think their pet is perfect, it's the other peoples pet that are the problem. We have two dogs; one of them can't be trusted (it's a Shih Tzu) the other (a lab/shepherd mix) is great. We love dogs but it just doesn't work with the rental that we have. Some day soon I am sure we will go with hard wood floors throughout and that will be a better fit with dogs.
