A woman in Louisiana sent an email to my Seattle PI blog asking if I knew of a fly call the Young Special. If anyone has the recipe, would you please send me a pm? Muchas thanks.

The Yong special I'm familiar with is named after Yong Andy Kim, a guy who fishes the San Juan down in N.M. It's a really simple midge pattern, brown thread body, black thread head. Several variations are out there. Easy to tie, usually in sz 18-24. Commonly used on tailwaters in Utah and Colorado.

the key is using coats and clark thread to get the segmentation that is required for the fly.
