Evan, I'd check that one out as usually an Oregon license is 1 January to 31 December. Good deal if I'm wrong.

In Washington State, licenses don't run with the calendar year but from April 1st.

I usually purchase my Lic. around March 25th while gearing up, making plans, getting stuff organized... and then, oh shit, i need my new license for next weeks trip/outing.
How early can u purchase a 2014 license in Wa. state?

Im gonna guess now. Just be clear that you want 2014 and not the remainder of the '13 season

Washington is a bit tight, as well, Fred. You can't get the Senior license until you're 70.

Washington loves the april 1 date. that way everyone can get stoked to catch 6 inch planter trout. we love big openers and closers. remember when streams opened June 1. now its the first weekend in June. gotta build the hype and gangbang those summers all at once. god forbid a local gets one on a weekday before the tourists have a shot

March 31 is the closing of all spring hunts and coordinating fishing and hunting license expiration dates makes sense.

If you are in Oregon and have a boat don't forget your invasive species tag. I did :(

The simple answer is 'yes.' But I can tell you are not up on 'current events.' (Roughly) 50% of the population of the State of Oregon lives within 100 air miles of the Southern Washington boarder ... and that's a lot of money/fishing licenses being sold. (Washington folks buying ours too.)

So what's the dollar value of an Oregonian traveling/fishing/buying in Washington State? Multi-Millions of dollars going into your 'economy' which is why your sales tax is waved (almost any purchase) if you have an Oregon Driver's License. Olympia may not be the center for 'clear thinking' but they understand the term: "Kaching-Kaching."

For contrast, if you take the population of Tacoma to Everett (Counties) you have a greater population than our entire State.
