I really quit reading as all I wanted to do is go fishing. But since Winter snuck back yesterday. All I do is pound on this stupid computer.

I won't list a single favorite as I have many.
For the short story buffs, do not miss Ted Leeson's books. His biblic collaborations with Jim Shollmeyer are well known however his short story entries are every bit as good as Gierach or McGuane and not many are on to him. "The Habit of Rivers" killed me and I'll no doubt enjoy "Inventing Montana". James Babb's first book (Crosscurrents I believe) was pretty special too.

Ted Leeson's book "Inventing Montana" is great as is his "The Habit of Rivers". Nick Lyons "Spring Creek" is also an awesome book. I have enjoyed all of the Gierach books. Hemingway's "Big Two Hearted River" is also a great read. Howell Raines' book "Fly Fishing Through a Mid-Life Crisis" is one many of us can relate to. I could go on with several others as the field of fly fishing literature is full of some amazing writers. Rick

I read a good life wasted on the road to and from Salmon camp. Entertaining for sure.

Bob Arnold's Steelhead Water ranks quite high on my list. His second book Steelhead & the floating line was the first Steelhead specific book I ever purchased. I read it repeatedly through the years getting a better grasp each time.

I'm about through Greased Line Fishing for Salmon [and Steelhead] Picked up a used copy on a whim. What an amazing book.. I never dreamed it would contain so much content grabbing my interest! The wheels for this book took motion in 1933.. It's destined to remain a timeless read.

Hard to pick specific books.. I seem to have many favorite authors.
