What is everybody's favorite species to fly fish for? Mine is pretty obvious by the handle, The mighty Coastal Cutt.

It was steelhead. But that seems so early 20th century. I need a 21st century species, and the way smallmouth are taking over the Columbia, or maybe shad; yeah, some exotic species should probably become my 21st century favorite fish species.

I love sturgeon, but that's kind of a gear fish. Fly-fishing wise, I'd say steelhead (what a surprise).

While a year might see a variety of fish on the end of my fly line (steelehad to ling cod to panfish) my favorite has to be our native char - the bull trout.

I just love trout fishing but if I had to pick a favorite, the westslope cutt would be it.
