Cool stuff, thanks for the tips Lance! I'm really excited to explore that area over the next 4 years. Neah bay looks like it has some rad fishing, especially for rockies on the fly.

Awesome profile pic, I'm so bummed once again I couldn't make it happen to get back down there and chase the gallo from sand.

Surf fishing up here has been pretty solid for stripers.

Loren! Great to see you on Wa Fly fishing. This site will be usefull to you up there in the great northwest. Regarding fishing the islands...I never did fish up there much. Only in boats off the south end of Whidbey. That fishing was pretty damn good at times. The Olympic Peninsula is a ways from Bellingham I realize...but you guys could travel out to Sekiu ( near Neah Bay ) for salmon. The beach fishing is somewhat limited there but you can rent 16ft "kicker boats" there and fish the strait. I used to fish there all summer long and even kept my Whaler there. There's a few small hotels there too. All in all, it's a really cool scene. Worth a visit if your schedule allows.
