Hey all,

In a effort to try and include the family more in my fishing escapades, I was thinking of taking them to the GR, but need something to do besides fish. Are there any hiking trails to explore? The way I see it, if everyone has fun, the Mrs. won't be so quick to notice my alterior motives.... :thumb:

Thanks,

Gabe :ray1:

Go down in Shoemaker (sp) turn too the left at the bottom of the hill and go all the way down to the parking lot. You can hike all day long down there; you can go the upper or the lower trail they both come together. But there is one problem you see some beautiful water (you better wear some blinders). lol

Closed? The GR in Oct?

I don't have the regs in front of me , but I'm pretty sure the GR is open long past Oct 2nd.
Let's ask the Oldman......Hey, Jim! what's the skinny on this?

I believe that Kerry is just pulling your leg. Most of it is open year round and some of it has seasons on it just like all the rest of the skinny water. From the mouth and up to County Rd Bridge year around and from there up stream to the Oregon border June 1 to April 15. But you need to read the regs as there are restrictions on what and how many.

So there :p :p :p
