I don't have the Bluewater in a blank but I do have the rod and it is a dandy. It is perfect for big bull dorado, sails and marlin.

How does the castability and lifting power of the Bluewater compare to the Professional?

I have the bluewater ld 10-13 x 9 foot..............lots of lifting power, used it in Australia, it cast a t-550 just fine, also Sa's 12wt tarpon line............I have cast the pro 12 and it flexes way down into the handle, feels to soft for me..........The pro 12 in my opinion will not lift what the bluewaters will...................Bw ld is much better out of a boat....thats my two cents

Agreed. I have the 12 Pro and it feels like a toy. My 9wt TiCr and 10wt TiCrX both have more lifting power.
