lake at 42 degrees. I was only one there until around 11:00 when one other boat showed up. Caught 3 16-19" and lost one while I was peeing. Snow,rain,sleet,and a little sun.
No video. Had to watch the fish jump around jump around while I tried to tuck things away and grab my other rod, but I took too long and it spit the hook
Yep that's pretty typical. The fish no doubt acted out of aggression, and once it got close, likely steered away due to the gaudy and unnatural appearance of the fly. It was actually a Chartreuse/White craft fur Dali Llama that I was tossing in the salt for Blackmouth earlier- a fairly atypical stillwater pattern. I was using a full intermediate and a fast retrieve.
