I was kind of thinking that the symmetry was off too. It's all bunched up by the door. But your house is big so it throws it off kilter maybe?

I think you need the same greenery around the windows that you have around your door to spread out the Christmas cheer on your beautiful big house. Maybe the two taller lighted trees can go on either side of your main window to the left of the door?

I agree. But she likes it and doesn't want me to mess with it so I'm kind of stuck. I did move planters to outside as was suggested and while it helps a bit it is still not there.

I also moved the recycling can. I might try moving the small tree below the #'s which would also help cover the cords.

Me too! And I didn't have to dig that stuff out of storage/buy new stuff, put it all up, and I won't have to take it all down and put it away (a task often performed during freezing, inclement weather followed by multiple trips into a dusty attic.) . . .

I'm not a complete Scrooge, just a retired one; I "plumbed" my house for "One switch outdoor lighting displays" when the Kids were little. It was fun then (and a neighborhood competition of sorts on occasion.); now it would just be work. I'll drive around and look at decorations around town. We even have a neighborhood named "Christmas Tree Lane." Works for me, but I do still focus on "The Reason for the Season" . . .

I'm thinking I'll just leave it up year round so my neighbors really know how happy I am!

I'm trying to follow the less is more concept but obviously struggling.

What about greenery around the windows? The small tree under your house numbers would look nice i think and covers the cords. You ever notice how you NEVER see any cords in HG photos, even indoors where people have lamps in the picture. How do they do that? One more thing: maybe put the car in the garage before taking the photo next time. It will give us all a better idea.

Swimmy, you have a beautiful house! I especially love the lines and pitch of your roof.

Thanks Jojo, you are very kind.

I’ve got the greenery for each window along with the garage door. Think I should put it up?

Yes! I think it will balance the cheer.

I'd truck in more snow. Fresh snow.
