Pattern BigE Depth Charge

#2
 would be my reaction if I was a fish, cuz I know I'd be hooked by that time. That's some mighty fine weave etc. My only comment would be work something in right behind the bead for leggy movement - but I'm not sure what species this is aimed at. To me it screams caddis pupa - so I'd slap a gray cdc puff right on the underside up against the bead on the thorax side. My 2-cents.

Beautiful fly Eric. I'll have to try weaving, I've never done it. It certainly has a nice effect. I'm still playing around with your Euphasiid pattern.

Good-looking fly.
....ever knot a tippet to the bend of the Depth Charge hook, and then attach
a non-weighted trailer? I fish like that all the time. I always catch more fish
on the not-weighted trailer. But that only fishes well because the heavy
fly got it down to where it needed to be. And unlike split shot, the weighted
fly does catch fish too.....just not as many. For me anyway.
