Study on reduced recruitment(salmon, steelhead)

#1
Below is a link to a study on the effects of hatchery fish spawning in the wild with steelhead and salmon. A couple of thing that stuck me: " Intrinsic productivity declines as the fraction of hatchery spawers in the population increases"

"Our results suggest that the net reproductive performance of the population will decline under ALL hatchery supplementation senarios."
( my emphasis)
Alot of scientific jargon I didn't understand, but if you read the abstract, dicussion and conclusion you get a good idea.
