A few for the Spey

    I tied these up for my spey partner and friend . He's off to swing the fabled waters of the Spey in Scotland . I hope that these may entice a salar to give him a pull .

    Those wings are awesome, as is the rest of the fly, but those wings lay so nice. Thank you for sharing.

    Sometimes I make the eye loops longer on fishing flies to allow more freedom of movement . I've observed that the bronze mallard wing , when tapered and humped correctly , will gently wiggle the fly back and forth .
