You ought to PM some guys on here who have been helpful and say look - I'll buy the beer, bring the lunch, and split the gas - lets go fishing.

Makes some honest friends and take that $400 and make 10 trips out of it. Guides are great... I've blown a lot of cash and have learned a lot. But, good friends are way better.

Yeah I have been highly considering doing that but I can not help that I have already been a bother enough.

Where do you find these good friends you speak of? :D

Daniel, keep your eye out for open seats being posted and jump on the first chance you can. You'll probably learn more in that one trip that 2 weeks of reading these forums.

Oh dude I am sure. I have been out quite a bit this season, and every time I go out my desire for a pontoon boat increases.

Oh come on. Sack up and send a PM to someone. Salmo has practically been inviting you over for Christmas for 12 pages now.

Most of the guys I hang out with are creepers from the east side. That way there's no chance I'll run into them in real life and have my cover of a steelhead huffer blown.

Thanks a bunch Jesse. Are you still pissed at me cuz I didn't want to tote my WM up the river trail with you? Indeed you do have a reputation to protect, so why would we believe you have any fishing friends? Well, friends of any sort, actually. Oh, and my place is full up at Christmas. Good job adding two more pages to Daniel's endless thread.

If I give Daniel more suggestions than the average newb, it's only because he asks 10 times as many questions. Which is actually a pretty smart thing to do, up to the point of wearing out his welcome.

Everyone knows there are too many cougars in that valley to hike with a 60lb pack on your back!

I'll show you some of the pictures I took of the runs between 8-10 miles in. Some of the largest resident trout I've seen on any system over there who went absolute barracuda on a rolled muddler.

The swinging runs were some of the best I've fished. Nothing to hand but trout - but we were fishing in May which isn't a great time for steelhead and the springers are....mythical. I'll be making a go of that trail in March this year come hell or high water.

Get yourself a pack llama and make it happen. This could actually be "your thing".

  14. That is one dam sturdy looking llama. Are they as expensive as scadden trailers? That thing would be a sweet casting platform too
