I think I'm tying Speyman's Waddington Prawn. It was a toss up between that and a Jock Scott...

I tied 5.75 of 6 last night and ran out of estaz to finish the last one. I ordered more. Hopefully it will be here by Saturday and I can get it in the mail Saturday or Tuesday.

    Three presents in today's mail

D3Smartie's flies (David, what do you call that pattern?) , Mike Doughty's Marabou Shrimps (they almost make me wish for winter -- almost ), and my new EFS 60mm macro lens. Guess I have an excuse to take some pictures!

    7/8 update

The latest news is no news since the last news :clown:

Scott's, David's, and Mike's flies are in hand.

Trevor's, Hywel's, and mine are still pending. I mailed Hywel some red fox so he could tie some Reynards.

I am finally back at the vise. Tonight will tell whether I tie half a dozen Lanctots, or cop out and do something more familiar, like some GBS Matukas or Shewey's Spawning Purple.

    Updated update 7/9

Trevor's flies arrived in today's mail, so very spiffy pink Waddington prawns. I'll photograph & post later today at http://www.farnham.ws/AA Swap 2005.htm. If I get mine finished today I will psot them as well.

I talked to Hywel -- he is jammed up at work and his flies will be about 1 week late. That's fine w/me, as long as people let us know -- I know how it goes sometimes.

My flies are done. Hywel said he'd have his in this week (and I happen to know he is on vacation, so he ought to have time...)
