What a frigging mess. Just heard from some co-workers whose now working adult children have spent piles of time trying to access the website from two different states and, having done so, are quite disappointed with the result; from both cost and quality. Bad enough it got passed in the manner it did and that we probably should have read the bill before bringing it to the floor (Pelosi's now infamous line "first we have to pass the bill before we can see what's in it"...is coming home to roost) but then the administration isn't smart enough to simply contract with competent companies with proven track records developing sophisticated, complex websites. 3 years and nearly $1 billion invested. Are they simply too proud to admit they've crapped this up and that more time is needed to get things right? In the private sector, those proving incapable of getting the job done are replaced with those that are...the complete lack of any accountability in government is ridiculous. Anyone on the forum signed up through the healthcare.gov or various state exchange websites?
