What do you guys like to do to align guides? The tried and true "just stare at it for awhile" works fine, but I've always wondered if there was some sort of jig you could build to assist in the process.

If you don't trust your eye you could use one of those laser line tools that are designed for home carpentry. I find just eyeballing them after wrapping each foot works fine for me.

Eyeball.. One suggestion is not to sight down the guide side, but from the top. It is much easier to see if the guides all have the same line this way.

Before I got my new prescription specs I have resorted to (variously) a tightly stretched piece of flo green braided flyline backing taped to the blank, then marking the locations with a china marker; taping them into place on the blank and lining them up with another identical blank. Eyeballin' works just as well now.
