Hello all, I have been lurking on this site for a while now and I figured I should introduce myself and contribute something. So here are some flies I have been tying recently. I am just starting the foray into classic style salmon flies and have been really enjoying it! First up I have a spinoff of a Winters Hope . I wish I had some purple Blue Eared Pheasant but the natural looks good enough. You may also notice that I am cheap and used synthetic Jungle Cock nails... One of these days I will pony up for the real deal. Next is a Pitcroy Fancy. I followed the recipe from the John Shewey spey fly book so it lacks the topping found on the original. I really like how this one turned out! Finally here is a Purple King. Thanks for looking! And if you have any tips or critiques I would love to hear them!
